Position Information

Description of Position:
These students would participate in all aspects of caring for a young child. Externs will participate in the children's activities, meals, bathroom breaks, rests etc. This position also includes working with the Lead and Assistant teachers on daily attendance tracking and monitoring, implementing lesson plans and creating a positive physical and emotional classroom environment. Finally, externs will monitor and document the children's activities, meals, bathroom breaks and rests using the Tadpoles app through Teaching Strategies.
Pre-requisites or Requirements:
The college student that selects this role should be attentive to the children in the program. Selected externs must be able to maintain a calm demeanor and assist children with self-regulation and conflict resolution.
