Position Information

Description of Position:
The student will follow an SLP throughout the day within a public school to observe the day-to-day requirements of an SLP. The student will meet with an interdisciplinary team and students of the school who receive speech services. Gradually, the student will be offered to create their own lesson plan for speech sessions when given goals to target.
Pre-requisites or Requirements:
No pre-requisites or majors required, but this externship is geared towards Douglass students who are interested in entering the school system (i.e. speech-language pathologist, psychology major, education major/teacher, social worker, etc.).
