Position Information

Description of Position:
Clinical Support:
There is a possibility of obtaining Behavioral Assistant (BA) certification. If an intern becomes BA certified, they may be assigned a case for which they will receive compensation.
Observe therapy sessions and engage in case discussions.
Administrative Tasks:
Assist with intake paperwork and client scheduling.
Organize and maintain patient records in compliance with privacy laws and confidentiality standards (HIPAA).
Coordinate care and services with other departments or professionals, as needed.
Research and Resource Development:
Assist in developing educational materials for clients.
Conduct research on best practices in mental health treatment.
Support staff with the preparation of reports or program evaluations.
Community Outreach & Support:
Support outreach efforts to raise awareness about mental health services.
Assist in community programs or workshops related to mental health education.
Pre-requisites or Requirements:
Enrollment in a Master's or Bachelor's program in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Strong interest in pursuing a career in mental health counseling or clinical psychology.
Basic understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment methods, and therapeutic approaches.
Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and respect confidentiality.
Experience in customer service or mental health-related settings is a plus.
