Position Information

Description of Position:
Support planning and marketing for the Rutgers-NB Wellness Week in April 2026.

Audit ScarletWell’s existing social media and website content to identify gaps and opportunities (e.g., student-focused wellness tips, event spotlights).

Draft a content calendar for upcoming ScarletWell events.

Develop 2–3 short-form social media drafts, such as:

Event teasers for Wellness Week or Wellness calendar highlights

Brainstorm potential campaign titles, slogans, or visual concepts for future initiatives like wellness challenges.

Collect shared images and create simple, on-brand graphics using Canva or Adobe Express.
Pre-requisites or Requirements:
A ScarletWell media and marketing extern should be a student in communications, marketing, journalism, digital media, or a related field with at least one foundational course or equivalent experience. The student must be able to work independently, meet deadlines, and follow Rutgers and ScarletWell branding and accessibility guidelines. Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences are essential. Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn, along with basic design skills in tools like Canva or Adobe Express, is expected. The extern should have an interest in storytelling, wellness communication, and student engagement. Comfort with simple photography or videography and a willingness to attend at least one ScarletWell event for media support are preferred. The student should be responsive, organized, and able to contribute creatively to short-term projects. An interest in wellness promotion and a desire to build a portfolio of real-world content will support success in this experience.
