We help guide federal agencies in reviewing and addressing the effects of federal actions on historic properties. The ACHP also advises the President and Congress on historic preservation policy and fosters public awareness of the benefits of historic preservation.

Position Information

Description of Position:
The student will learn all aspects of public relations in a federal government agency setting. They will produce videos, do social media planning, write posts, and takeover the ACHP Instagram account. We will setup meetings that align with the student's interests and they will learn about the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation's mission, by meeting with key leaders and staff. They also will learn about historic preservation and related career opportunities.
Pre-requisites or Requirements:
It would be helpful to have an interest in historic preservation, history, government, and communications. Other beneficial skills: knowledge of Microsoft Word, Canva, social media, writing.
