Collaborative Center programs connect more than 500 students, faculty, and staff each year to community partners in New Brunswick and beyond through in-depth placements and projects involving policy research, access to education, health, language, and the arts, to name a few.

Position Information

Description of Position:
The student can shadow the basic responsibilities of the Assistant Director, which includes overseeing community engagement programs, creating social media and marketing content, and organizing events and meetings. There may also be opportunity to help with tasks for upcoming events, if applicable.

The student would be able to learn about working in higher education administration, as well as be exposed to learning about how community organizations function. There will be a specialized sense of Marketing and Communications (the Assistant Director has a specialized expertise and educational background in this, so if it is of interest to the student, there can be additional tasks and information shared about this field)
Pre-requisites or Requirements:
No specific requirements or background for this experience. An interest in higher education, community engagement and marketing/communications is preferred.
