The City of Plainfield is the 34th largest municipality in New Jersey. The Division of Parks and Recreation is per the charter responsible for the administration and operation of City playgrounds and playfields, and facilities for indoor and outdoor sports, athletics and recreational programs and activities for children and adults. The Division also sponsors cultural and recreational programs in cooperation with other public and private agencies and organizations.

Position Information
Description of Position:
Student will have the opportunity to attend Division Level meetings within the organization and with partner organizations. Student will have the opportunity to work with Recreation programs that implement social policy such as the Free Summer Food Program and Free Public Pool program.
Pre-requisites or Requirements:
Interest in working in Government and social justice issues.
